WATERSWELLING WATERSTOP  WATERJOINT

WATERTIGHT PROFILE FOR CAST-IN-PLACE CONCRETE THAT SWELLS IN A WET ENVIRONMENT 

Special Properties:

Components stability assures profile long-lasting performance, even if in maximum swelling configuration. Besides this avoids WATERJOINT can exfoliate even in presence of running water (groundwater).
Swelling starts after 24 hours, in a controlled way (see diagram), in order to avoid unexpected concrete deformation during concrete hardening.
Potential volume rise of approx. 500% doesn’t determine any overstrain in concrete and is enough to avoid water percolation, even under pressure.

Composition and characteristics:
Made of a special synthetic rubber and of a special hydrofil elastomeric resin. A sophisticated vulcanization process assures high physical resistance and chemical long-lasting stability

Terms of supply:

WATERJOINT 20x10 Waterswelling (for wall 16 cm or more thick):
dimensions: 20x10 mm in rolls 20 m length (boxes 80 m, weight 30 kg)

WATERJOINT profile has to be fixed with nails placed every 20 to 30 cm on on compact concrete. Fixing can also be made by polyurethane mastic, suitable for concrete surfaces with unevenness.








WATERJOINT profile has to be applied at a distance of less than 7 cm from external walls of concrete.











Profile’s junction have to be done putting side by side end pieces for at least 10 cm.
